2008 Reading First Academies

*** Participants, please note that all budget and paperwork is available at www.paec.org ***

Requirements:
  • All K-3 teachers in Reading First Schools must attend the 4-day Reading Academy.
  • Each participant must attend all 4 days for the entire day. Sessions begin at 8:00 AM and are scheduled to end at 4:00 PM daily. Registration begins at 7:30 AM.
Options:
  • June 16-19, 2008, at Three Oaks Middle School in Lee County
  • August 4-7, 2008, at Gulf Coast High School in Collier County
  • There will be NO Fall Academy offered.
  • Other teachers (other grade levels/other schools) may attend at the district’s expense.
  • INTERVENTION ACADEMY is new for 2008. If a K-3 teacher in a Reading First school has attended the 4-day Academy, the Intervention Academy is an option. Each session is limited to 50 participants, who must have completed the 4-day Academy.
    • June 17-18 at Three Oaks Middle School
    • August 5-6 at Gulf Coast High School
