Goals & Objectives

NCEF’s Contribution to a Solution:

The GPS Collaborative is developing an innovative, world-class program to close gaps in educational opportunity and expand access to high quality educational support programming and personal leadership development for at-risk children in Immokalee. Key components of the initiative are extensive leveraging of resources and collaborations among community education and academic leaders, colleges and universities, and local, state, and national program providers. GPS’s vision is to be an innovative collaboration of out-of-school time programs that will close educational gaps and empower students with the tools for success. As a result, GPS will improve opportunities that make profound and sustained differences in the lives of youth in Immokalee.

Current Goals:
  • Serve 50% of Immokalee students
  • Focus on personal leadership development (resiliency and self-efficacy)
  • Use consistent outcome measures
